Wawa Welcome America To Be Significantly Less Embarrassing Than In Years Previous

?uestloveMayor Nutter made a big rollout announcement this morning regarding this year’s Wawa Welcome America festival, which last year brought us the colossal WTF moment that was The Goo Goo Dolls, who somehow headlined over The Roots. That fundamental wrong, at the very least, has been reversed for this year’s big 4th of July concert on the Parkway. None other than ?uestlove has been enlisted to be this year’s musical director, and The Roots, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael McDonald, Estelle, Sara Bareilles and DJ Jazzy Jeff have already been booked, with more promised on the way.
