How Bazaar!

We come to you this Black Friday with a memory of local retail past: Upper Darby’s Bazaar Of All Nations, which is the subject of a new documentary of the same name. Bazaar Of All Nations runs November 26 through December 2 at Cinema 16:9 in Lansdowne, PA.

    GET. OUT. !!!!
I fell down across the street from there in junior high skateboarding… blacked-out… woke up lying on the sidewalk… sat down on my board and rolled across Baltimore Pike… got to the entrance of the Bazaar… walked in… walked around in a daze for I don’t know how long… went back outside and laid on the sidewalk… a crowd gathered… the friend I was meeting showed up & called my mom… someone called an ambulance… my mom showed up as did the ambulance…they put me on a stretcher… went to the hospital and threw up like 3 times… Doc said I had a big concussion.
I had tickets to see Van Halen the next night and was advised by Doc not to go to the show… mom agreed and I missed the concert.
I proceeded to tear down all my skateboard pictures from my bedroom wall.
Never saw Van Halen until many years later… with Gary Cherone as singer. Talk about an epic fail.
