Philly Vying With Berlin And Chicago In HuffPo Def Mural Slam

Do you dare to deny our Steve Powers?

Over at the Huffington Post, Philly, Chicago and Berlin have been pitted against each other in a fairly random, arbitrary “Which City Has The Best Street Art?” poll. Frankly, we’d like to see more, but if this is anything to go by, Chicago isn’t even a contender. Berlin, though? Berlin’s giving us a run for our money.

Having lived in chicago for most of my life before moving to philadelphia, in my experience, Philadelphia undoubtedly has a much larger mural presence than chicago.

I just have a problem with the “street art” designation. If you mean ‘murals,’ then we win, hands down. If you you want to talk “street art” as it is usually interpreted, then Philly shouldn’t really be in contention (not that the other, arbitrarily picked, cities necessarily should).
