PAFA To City: It’s A Giant Paintbrush. Get It?
As we were saying last week, artist Claes Oldenburg is in town today, where he announced what his big sculpture will be for PAFA‘s Lenfest Plaza. And as earlier renderings sneakily laid out, it’s a… five-story tall paintbrush! Combine that with Split Button and Clothespin and we can’t help put wonder: Is Oldenburg trying to say that Philadelphia is the junk drawer of the world? Not that we would necessarily disagree.
