Byko Will Not Shut Up About The Fucking Bike Lanes

bykoSo don’t ask him to! He’s up in arms! And he’s quick to remind you! He’s not anti-bike! He’s pro-bike! He’s pro-mass transit! He just doesn’t want these bike lanes all over the friggin’ place! Because that will cause more traffic jams! But he doesn’t want people biking on the sidewalk, either! On this we all agree! But mostly! We think it’s time! For everybody to stop reading Byko! He’s driving you fucking nuts intentionally! He’s like that old man in your family! Who can only display “love” by acting like a complete fucking asshole! It’s upsetting! It brings back painful memories! But what are you gonna do! Are you really gonna just cut the old man outta the picture! What are we! Savages! That wouldn’t make us any better than him! Oh forget it! Just forget I even brought it up!

    if anything, all cars plated from DE/NJ/NY/MD should then have no access to the phly roadways, based on Byko’s argument. since, road usage is all based on taxes/fees paid to the city, that would also mean that all the carboners (that’s car – boners) that live outside city limits to avoid paying city taxes should also be denied free access to phly roads….

    you know what’s also pretty dangerous to bikers? EVERY FUCKING STREET IN PHILADELPHIA BEING COVERED IN POTHOLES BECAUSE THE CITY LEFT THEM COVERED IN 3 INCHES OF ICE FOR A MONTH.

    you can’t just ride over a pothole on a bike. if it’s big enough, you hit the pothole and wipe-out. imagine wiping out in front of a car and getting run over.

    Stu is exhibit A of why the Daily News sucks. I know it’s a popular opinion around here that the Daily News is the true paper of the people and everyone who’s real Philly should read that instead of the Inquirer. But pick up an actual copy, and it becomes clear awfully quickly that it’s largely unreadable. Philly’s not perfect, but we don’t have to live down to our stereotype, which the DN embodies in many ways.
