Tomorrow At Philebrity Happy Hour @ Octo: WORLD’S OLDEST LIVING IPOD TELLS ALL

fb

In a find that we’ll be forwarding to anthropologists all over the world shortly, Philebrity is pleased to announce that we have recently learned that we are in possession of what appears to be The World’s Oldest Living iPod (pictured). As you may remember, the iPod was a thing you put your music on, complete with meticulously curated “playlists,” in the time before your attention span became so fractured that even that became something you just didn’t have any time for. As it happens, this first-generation iPod was the Philebrity in-house music source, and was used at old Philebrity parties such as PalarĂ©, Stay Loose and Turkey Lurkey (Silk City, Thanksgiving Eve ’05). It appears that the last time this iPod was updated was 2005, and to our eternal surprise, it still accepts a charge! But we know this relic cannot last forever, so we’re giving it one last go-round before we send it to the Smithsonian. Please join us on the river tomorrow after work for this old guy’s last lap. Upcoming Philebrity Happy Hour calendar after the jump.

One of my pals has the same OG model, they’re surprisingly sustainable. Too bad Apple decided they could make Ipods shitty and people would still buy them.
