Blayer Pointdujour is a guy who’s been knocking around the Philly scene for about eight years, playing in a variety of acts, including Phil Moore Browne, Miss Argentina, The Ghouls, and Kid Kreyol. For the last few months, Pointdujour has been holed up working on his debut solo demo jawn, called Access Card, which he’ll make available when he plays Danger Danger Gallery on June 11. We were lucky enough to get this leaked track, “Guns Navaro,” which calls to mind, for us, nothing so much as an update of the Don Letts/Clash/Big Audio Dynamite axis that we’ve never really been able to get enough of. The other tracks currently up on Pointdujour’s MySpace page show that this track isn’t a fluke, and if it’s possible to be stoked for a “demo,” well, we are. We knew that crazy winter was gonna pay off somehow.
