Are Your Ready For Two More Months Of City Budget “I Dunnos”?
Stop me — oh-ho-ho stop me — if you think that you’ve heard this one before: Into the summer, the city of Philadelphia will be plagued a hot acid rain of question marks all over its budget status that could, eventually, affect everything that happens here. Don’t call it a comeback, because at the moment, the state of PA isn’t even the gum in the works, like they were last year. In this year’s sequel, trash fees, soda taxes, budget cuts and now, more dollars for snitchers, are all being debated and KYW 1060 predicts (conservatively, we think) that the city budget won’t be settled until June, the first month of the year that garbage really begins to stink. So real talk: Come June, what will we have first? A completed, approved working City budget or this iPhone?
