And Now, Your Hand-Drawn Neighborhood Map: FAIRMOUNT!

After Thursday’s deluge of hand-drawn neighborhood maps, you’d think that the amateur cartographer population of Philadelphia would be exhausted. Not so! Above, Meghan McAllister‘s handy eating and drinking map of Fairmount, where the men have frontwards baby backpacks and the women do, too — you know, for keeping the men. Hiyo! Ah, Fairmount: The city’s only neighborhood made up entirely of people who used to be cool. We could do this all day, but we won’t. More maps coming soon!

Anybody else want to join in the fun? Send us your hand-drawn neighborhood maps to tips[at]philebrity[dot]com and we will totally run them. And check out more neighborhood maps here on Philebrity.

the map forgot brigids and the people on rollerblades out by the waterworks.

  2. julie.t Says:

ah, but can you EAT those people on rollerblades?

  3. chester Says:

also forgot Era at 28th and Poplar for cheap drinks and tasty ethiopian food.

  4. UNCKLE-TICKLE Says:

    Julie.t has ya there!
    …unless you DO eat rollerbladers!?

  5. CEF Says:

Gotta also give a shoutout to The Wine School of Philadelphia and Philly Flavors, a seriously underrated ice cream shop.

stupid me. I’ve been calling this area in front of the ART MUSEUM (drumroll please…….) the ART MUSEUM area for 20 years.
Every apartment on craigslist shown in this area is under Art Museum section too
I always thought Fairmount was corinthian or 20th street to Broad.
The Trend city map (2008 copy) used by the Real Estate industry says the same

They don’t like us at Philebrity because it’s hipsters we eat.

    Not me, I’m a vegetarian.

But they do make good flash mob body shields.
