Please Stop Whatever You Are Doing And Watch Ten Minutes Of Dancin’ On Air (Circa 1987) With Us Right Now
After years of searching for this on YouTube, here, friends, is the motherlode: Nearly ten full minutes of Dancin’ On Air — the WPHL 17 version, before it went national to ultimately become Dance Party USA. Even though many of us who grew up here remember watching this after school, solid footage (like this) of the show has remained either elusive or of poor quality. This stuff, though? Wow. Exactly as we remember it. And frankly, maybe even better. There’s more (including a young Kelly Ripa) here.

All you kidz who think the 80s retro thing is hot shit- here is a cautionary tale. Please watch this video and reconsider. Do you REALLY want to look like this? Really?

As a self-proclaimed ‘King of the 80s’ round here, THIS is the part of the 80s I like to forget – even though I knew several people on the production side of the show … who all lovingly called it D.O.A. (truer words…)

Thank you Thank you Thank you. I would watch it after grade school and my brothers would make fun it. Now I know why and now I know gay men and fag hags existed in the 80s….
