R.I.P.: U.S. Rep. John Murtha, 1932-2010
John Murtha, we hardly knew ye. Murtha spoke truth to power, and here he is above, speaking out at the 2006 John F. Kenndy Profile in Courage Awards against the war in Iraq and healthcare.

I’m guessing Burnie is either surrounded by snow and dumbfounded by his refusal to opt into social contracts that would’ve provided public services to aid his plight or he’s just going to let the eulogy here get sidelined by its own poorly-edited copy, “speaking out against the war in Iraq and healthcare.”
Besides, the Burner knows that Murtha’s got more military pork to stand on than principle.

I just flew in from Murtha Int’l Airport. Boy, are my arms tired. I cherish seeing partisan love for an obvious hack. By all non-partisan measures he was one of the most corrupt people in Washington, and he was also one of the most responsible for the continuous inflation of defense spending.
As for Iraq, he voted for authorization and appropriations for the war. Some kids in his district got killed, so he had to throw a fit about it. Truth to power, my ass.
