Cars: Still Mostly Boring

But the whole point of things like the Philadelphia Auto Show is to show us that they’re not supposed to be. The auto show opens this weekend, and amidst a media kit packed with photos of boring sedans and borderline offensive SUV’s, we found some of the stuff that people actually look forward to this thing for: Concept cars! Above, the new Chevrolet Stingray Concept, lookin’ all Batman and shit. Below, the very, very Mad Men-ish Cadillac Cyclone Concept.

I don’t get why car makers don’t realize that people would buy more American-made cars IF THEY ACTUALLY LOOKED COOL AND INTERESTING.

I don’t like how cars have become meaner looking in their styling. It’s a minivan, for goodness sake. Give it some round headlights, rounded fenders and a primary color.

you might ask yourself: “hundreds of cars packed into one building, how could that not be fun?”
i don’t know how it works out but the philadelphia auto show is, year after year, the opposite of fun.
