Haiti Benefit At The Troc Might Also Actually Be An Awesome Party

Over the last two weeks, it’s been nice to see lots and lots of previously planned shows and events in the area be transformed last-minute into benefits for the people of Haiti. And one of the first planned benefits we’re seeing is Philly Rocks For Haiti on Thurs., February 4, at the Trocadero, which is presented by WXPN, the Philadelphia Folksong Society and the Trocadero, and which we’re also glad to be supporting. West Philadelphia Orchestra, Black Landlord, Get the Led Out, Blood Feathers and Free Energy will all be performing, and, ah, THAT IS A PRETTY AWESOME BILL. (You know, even if our label were not represented.) Get the Led Out, who we swear to you are the best Led Zeppelin cover band you will ever see in your life, are doing an acoustic set (which had better include “Going To California”), and so are Blood Feathers. Afterwards, there’s a party in the Balcony where Jersey Dan is spinning. (Now it’s a party.) Proceeds go directly to the Haitian Professionals of Philadelphia to ship supplies to Haiti.
