this is great. Reminds me of a philly.com comment, I read during the SEPTA strike. Something to the effect of “Since the union’s been on strike, my buddy Tommy can’t get to his job as a longshoreman. It’s been really hard on him and his girlfriend Gina, who’s had to pick up extra hours at the diner where she works. Tommy’s even had to pawn his prized possession, his guitar. All they have is each other.” Priceless.
