Barkley L. Hendricks: Birth of the Cool, the retrospective of Philly-born painter Barkley L. Hendricks, will be on view at PAFA until January 3rd, which means that, if you want to see this utterly cool exhibit, you must hurry.    I really x100 wanted to see this show, and dragged a hesitant boyfriend along. Happily, he and I both loved it and he was glad to have been convinced to come along. Amazing stuff.
