Philebrity Awards Update: Polls Are Still Open!
· Thousands of votes have already streamed in to the Philebrity Awards Poll, and we’re happy to report that all but a few of the polls are a dead heat. Sure, Jose Garces and Kurt Vile are pretty much destroying everyone else in their respective categories, but elsewhere, healthy competition is the order of the day and a lot can happen in the next few days. Polls will close at midnight on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, so vote now!
· Meanwhile, we spent some time over the weekend plotting out the Philebrity Awards Show & Xmas Pageant on Thursday, December 10th at the Trocadero with our musical director, BC Camplight, and we’re pretty stoked about what he’s got going on. Secret Pants have some holiday sketches lined up as well, and as for Blood Feathers, all we can really say is: What Jimi Hendrix did for “Wild Thing,” Feather Mills will be doing for sacred holiday carols. Please invite your friends, and stay tuned for more announcements. And remember: We’re not charging a cover, but 100% of your donation at the door will go to the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation.
· And lastly, a bit of housekeeping: If you are a Philebrity Awards nominee and we haven’t been in touch with you yet, please do drop us a line at tips[at]philebrity[dot]com and let us know if you’ll be attending on Thursday night, as we will be reserving tables for nominees. And thanks so much for everyone who’s participated thus far. Onward!

“Sure, Jose Garces and Kurt Vile are pretty much destroying everyone else in their respective categories.”
And Kade isn’t?!? Shocking.

It is f’n pathetic that The Illadelph, an infrequently updated blog that has no original reporting and consists of only inane, baseless speculation is in the running for “best coverage of the city.” Please. You gotta stop this ballot box stuffing somehow.

The Illadelph still trumps the Metro. That whole category makes me sad.
And I can’t complain about Jose Garces winning, but my heart is with Solomonov and Cook. Those guys could outcook Garces easily.
