Here is what we can tell you about the first of Philebrity’s Sailor Jerry Grog Parties, held a coupla weeks back: By the time eight o’clock rolled around, most of us were drunk as a bunch of ancient sailors, hugging each other like gay librarians, and either asleep or in jail within the following 60 minutes. The grog was just that good. So: At this point, you know what the grog is. Hell, you even know how to make it. (We still can’t believe we disclosed our recipe.) And you now know the good times it can produce. The only thing left to do is to make more of the stuff. So join us, along with Sailor Jerry Rum, for the next after-work Grog Parties — one tomorrow, December 3rd, after work, and a third in January — at National Mechanics in Old City. There will be earthen tunes, warm feelings and sweet fancy Moses, THERE WILL BE GROG! For it is grog that is great; it is grog that is good. ARRRR!
