That’s pretty good for a pocket-sized gadget that cost less than $300. If you visit timescapes.org, you can see the state of the art in time lapse photography and the forums show the effort people are putting into doing this with DSLRs.
I made one myself of a Philly scene, but it lacks some of the refinement seen in this iPhone video: http://www.vimeo.com/7526394
