This Evening: Grog Rock
>>> Look at all that gray out there. Seems like a perfect night for GROG. As a matter of fact, we’re gonna dip out a little early today for the first of Philebrity’s Sailor Jerry Grog Parties, which we’ve been telling you about. Goes from 5-8PM, admission is free, and Sweeney will be playing mellow platters concerning mellow matters.
>>> Also: Thursday Dumpling Throwdown! And hell’s bells, the Strapping Fieldhands are playing Kung Fu Necktie. (Ask someone from the 90s about these guys, youngsters. Heavy shit.) And Langhorne Slim is at JB’s. All GROG-APPROVED. How do we know? Oh, you know, just from reading things out there in the GROGOSPHERE. Fellow GROGGERS and whatnot. You know. On GROGSPOT.COM.

Will there be many a sea shanty played? Haul Away Joe? Sally Brown?
Sadly I could not find a video of the classic Dubliners lineup performing the song, but this has Luke Kelly and Ciaran Bourke harmonizing on “All For Me Grog”:

Sailor Jerry is a gyro brand.
Philebrity says they hate gyro.
So I am bemused by this partnership.

Wow…I certainly enjoyed doing it groggy style last night, but it put me in my pj’s by 8pm! Well done!

@downbylaw: Allow me to explain how this works out in the world of adults:
Let’s say you have a store.
Every day, you open that store.
Lots of people come in, looking for things.
Some of them buy things, some of them don’t.
And by no means is it written that you have to like every customer on a personal level.
You have a store.
Every day, you open that store.

Tips, your fair point was marred that you took the childish tack of being condescending, thinking that that makes you superior. So I can only conclude that either (a) your incredibly ironic, or (b) you are a moron. I’ll plumb for the latter, thanks. Were you bullied as a child? I appreciate the heads up though. You really taught me a lesson, from behind your computer screen, and I must re-evaluate my opinion. Here’s hoping your blanket of smugness keeps you warm in these cold times ;-)
