Philadelphia Woman Gets Eliminated From Top Model After Unsuccessful Attempt To Look Like A Volcano Goddess
Jennifer An, one of our own as well as one of the final four in America’s Next Top Model (Season 13), has been given the boot as of last night. If you haven’t been following this season, Tyra has been up to her typical unorthodox approach to models (they are all under 5″7) and they cover a vast swath of ethnicities. An, the 23 year-old Asian-American 5″5 model from somewhere in Philadelphia (living in New York) ran the gamut of model tests, such as posing as a bi-racial model (see image at right), a photoshoot underwater, and a particularly cringe-worthy hip-hop hula lesson complete with hand motions for “determination, sadness, and happiness” — the end result being a solo in the middle of their mash-up dance telling their personal stories (this was on last night’s episode). As Jennifer sadly packed her bags to leave she gave the reaction, “It feels amazing to have made it as far as I have. And it hurts to be so close to it — it’s like ripping my heart out. It sucks.” It’s a feeling we’re familiar with.
