Places We Can’t Understand: Kids Come First At Eden Cemetery
I took this picture a few years ago. I’m not even sure if it is still there. Pretty sure it was on Haverford Ave in West Philly near 52nd Street. It may not be good news but it always struck me as odd (needless to say, I don’t understand).
Indeed, we looked it up, and Eden Cemetery Co. is in fact in the business of funeral services and grave site markers. And while it is our belief that the “Kids Come First” business obviously implies that if, on the off chance you came to Eden with a pile of bodies that needed to be buried, they would understandably deal with your piles of dead, innocent children first. We get that. But, like you, we still do not understand.
