This Just In: U2 Unable To Book Return Engagement At The Bijou, Settle For Lincoln Financial Field Instead
Fans of the dying beast that was once known as Stadium Rock, mark your calendars: Monday, July 12, 2010 is the day when Irish-old-guys-dressed-as-Russian-gangsters U2 will come to Philadelphia and fill Lincoln Financial Field with their sweet, pompous, confusing love. This time around, it’s something called the U2 360° Tour, which looks like the band has finally found a way to compete with Rock Band by essentially becoming Rock Band: “With a cylindrical video system of interlocking LED panels, and a steel structure rising 150 feet from the floor over a massive stage with rotating bridges, the band has truly created an intimate 360º experience for concert goers.” It will indeed be truly intimate. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 13 at 10am.
