I like your Pearl Jam, I do not like your Pearl Jam fans.
I’ve seen them twice at the Susquetweetsonblockecenter in Camden, and the band was good. The fans, however, are the best of the “drunken jockocracy”. I was glad to see the band paid their respects to the Spectrum.
Normally I would never consider it a good idea for anyone to attempt to cover this, unless you’re, um, The Who (aren’t they kind of a cover band now minus Moon & Ox?). But, this doesn’t hold a candle to the totally legit version Wilco delivered with the sun setting behind the stage at the Folk Fest in Camden a few years back. Oof, I can’t believe I just stuck up for Wilco…
