We’re hearing various reports today that sometime late on Halloween night, a man walked into The Fire at 4th and Girard, pulled out a gun, and killed himself. When called this morning, a source at the The Fire gave us a solemn and sad “no comment.” Know something? Send your reports to tips[at]philebrity[dot]com.
UPDATE: We have received confirmation that this indeed did happen, roughly around 1:44AM on Saturday night. The person in question, however, is alive and in critical condition at a local hospital. Our thoughts and condolences go out to everyone affected by this, including the staff at The Fire.
UPDATE 2:This just in from the folks at The Fire: “An individual who was not a regular patron at The Fire made a tragic attempt on his life near closing on Saturday night, he died later at the hospital. No one else was harmed. Out of respect for his family, we have no further comment.”
