R. Kelly To Complete Posthumous Collaboration with Michael Jackson, Encourages Women To Throw Wal*Mart Underwear Onstage Next Tuesday At Upper Darby Performance
A collaboration this good hasn’t happened since T-Pain and Lil Wayne’s T-Wayne mixtape or maybe even Paul McCartney and MJ’s “The Girl Is Mine.” R. Kelly announced to AOL’s Black Voices that he is going to complete production on five songs he recorded with Michael Jackson, some months before the star died in June. “I recorded five joints for Michael Jackson… we had been talking on the phone about his new album, and I was going to finish what Michael was doing at the time,” he said. “We’re going to get it out though. Michael liked the way I would try to sing the songs just like him.” This will be the second joint effort of the two pop stars, following R. Kelly writing and producing MJ’s 1995 hit, “You Are Not Alone.”
But here’s where the magic comes to YOU: Next Tuesday, (October 13 tickets here) at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, you may get the opportunity to listen to the 42-year-old crooner sing with MJ’s falsetto still fresh in his mind. R. Kelly is on tour promoting his new album, Untitled, which officially comes out that day (the Michael Jackson recordings are set to be released at a later date). And feel free to throw those $2.50 Wal*Mart panties onstage; R. Kelly himself retweeted twice a Twitter post which read, “I CANT WAIT TIL NOV 15TH.IM GONNA THROW MY WALMART PANTIES ONSTAGE AND I WONT BE MAD CUZ THEY WERE ONLY $2.50(LOL)”. One can only assume that his double repost indicates a positive, encouraging response. The November 15th show is in Milwaukee.
One other fantastic typically Kells element of the Black Voices interview happens when he breaks into an a capella rendition of “12 Play,” his favorite from his own oeuvre. He concludes the outburst with, “I had all three of my kids off that record.”

Will he be pissing on teenage girls at this show? Fuck you R. Kelly.
