This Evening: There Is No Such Thing As Freedom Fries

grosses>>> Straight up: We fucking love the French. We love them more than you, we love them more than puppies, and we’re sick of acting like this is some kind of secret shame. So come on down, La Cinematheque: New French Films from the Philadelphia Cinema Alliance, you’ve got our number. Tonight begins the PCA’s new series of frogs-on-film, which focuses on French movies that have come out in the last year, but by and large have not seen American screens yet. Tonight, it’s French Kissers (Les Beaux Gosses), which, yes indeed, will be presented with English subtitles, Mr. Vento. Get into this.
>>> Showstalken: Mayer Hawthorne (we so called that shit) at Johnny Brenda’s, and Arctic Monkeys (zzzz) at Electric Factory.

I love French cinema but lets be honest…the French have the worst fucking hygiene of any group of people in the western world. Can’t forget all of that dairy consumption and chain smoking from the cradle to the grave.
