Fun Fact: Those John Keats Love Letters From Bright Star Are At The Rosenbach

From the Rosenbach Museum & Library: “A hand-written letter by poet John Keats to his beloved, Fanny Brawne. The letter is part of the Rosenbach Museum & Library’s collection and can be seen on the museum’s popular Love Letters Hands-On Tours offered Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 16. Coinciding with Love Letters is the release of the highly-acclaimed motion picture Bright Star, a drama about the intense love affair between John Keats and Fanny Brawne. Bright Star is the latest film from Academy Award-winning director, Jane Campion (The Piano). The film is playing in theaters nationwide and can be seen locally at the Ritz East now and the Bryn Mawr Film Institute (beginning Oct. 2).”

Rosenbach is a treasure. I once had the privilege of holding in my hands the original manuscript of Oscar Wilde’s “Salome” complete with his stage direction sketches.
