And Now, The Enduring Wisdom Of @AvagraceSwanhil, The Single Best Twitterer In Philly, Who Also Happens To Be Six Years Old

avaalphabet

Lots of people use Twitter. In fact, too damned many people use Twitter. People who have nothing whatsoever to say. People who think Twitter is an Instant Messenger service, a diet-diary, or other things that are just not that interesting. But not @AvagraceSwanhil, the Twitter account of a local six-year-old girl who uses her 144 characters to ask The Big Questions (like the one above). We’re sure Ava’s not a fake, and is in fact a kid — a really hilarious and very smart little kid — because we know her, and asked her father if this was all for real. He assured us that it was. And so we rejoice. After the jump, a few more of our favorite tweets from Ava, who will most likely grow up to own each and every last one of us.

Paging Paul Vallas: Fess up. At some point during your tenure, you had to hire at least one person who didn’t know what the number 8 was.

Ava spends a lot of time in Old City.

Even Bill Maher doesn’t usually drip with this much sarcasm.

Not in New Jersey, but definitely in PA.

Speaking of sandwiches, my favorite story about this little one goes like this:

Ava (who was about 3 1/2 years old or so at the time) and her Dad were walking into a restaurant one day for lunch.

As they passed the daily specials board outside, Dad said to Ava,

“So, what are the specials today?”

    to which she replied,

    “I don’t know. I don’t read Sign Language.”

No joke. I love this kid and her awesome family.
