Someone Famous Went Somewhere Once: Herc From The Wire At Ladder 15
Says our reader: “Hey guys. Last night I saw the actor Domenick Lombardozzi at Ladder 15. He played the character “Herc” on The Wire and also “Dom” on Entourage. He told me he was in town shooting a movie with Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson.” Which makes us wonder about a couple of things: Are the producers of Untitled James L. Brooks Project on the take from GPTMC to get all these midtown spots press, or are they just doing some advance seeding for Untitled James L. Brooks Project since, you know, the movie title Untitled James L. Brooks Project does not exactly roll off the tongue and the movie’s going to need all the help it can get? (Our reasoning being that, as you know, famous people do not “hang out” in Philly; hence the name and justified existence of this blog.) Another thing: How much does it shock you that Herc does not hang out with Eli Cash at Parc? It does not shock us at all. Meanwhile, where the hell is Kathryn Hahn? She’s in Untitled James L. Brooks Project too, and we have a sneaking feeling that she could totally party with us.

Must keep up with me, Kathryn Hahn went into premature labor a few weeks back here in Philly. She’s was almost done all her scenes. She’ll return in September when Jack finishes his vacation in the South of France.

I like how I missed the shot of Reese 2 weeks ago at Alma de Cuba because Jake spun her around too quick, but their whole meal ended up being listed in this weeks Us Magazine sans a philly shot but with a stock shot.

A friend swears we saw Ryan Phillippe at the Phillies game last month with the Witherspoon offspring in tow. Since I had no idea who he was, I can’t verify. Cute kids though, and he and the brood were properly decked out in all-Phillies attire.

It should be noted that Ladder 15 is douche-bag central and they play like techno music so loud you can’t hear your waitress (but you can see her short shorts).

My friend (from Delaware) lives in LA and saw Ryan Phillipe and Abby Cornish in Home Depot and Ryan was wearing Eagles gear. My friend had been waiting for this moment her whole time in LA… her opening was to compliment him on his Eagles gear and reminisce about The First State.
Alas, she wimped out. Her chances are gone forever.

Ryan Phillipe was at the game, he has since returned with Abbie to LA. He should be back Aug 27 – 9/2 not sure his schedule then.

Although, haha, maybe GPTMC can take some credit… the guy in the photo with Herc is the cousin of someone in our web department.

Asking in all honesty — which one is the “famous” one? I never saw the Wire. Witherspoon and Wilson filmed for two days in my apartment building of only 6 apartments and I never once saw them. The crew and machines crawling all over the place I def. saw (although everyone was pretty cool and accommodating).
