Just as we feared months ago, Philly finally seems to be getting our own version of the Real Housewives… sort of. The catch? Like the Chinatown-sourced handbags purchased by Real Housewives fans seeking to emulate their idolmoms, Philly’s Housewives show is going to be a knockoff. Philadelphia Weekly’s Style Blog reports that the not-Google-search-result-friendly Oceanfront Media Productions is casting “The Women Of Rittenhouse Square.” With the Oceanfront contact having a Gmail address, we have every expectation that this, in keeping with the Real Housewives tradition, is going to be a disaster.
