From The Desk Of Joe Boruchow: Be Kind, Lest We Rewind

Be-Courteous!550

Philly’s premiere cutout poster artist, Joe Boruchow, just issued this poster in honor of summer’s cruelest month. He says:

I know it’s hard to be nice in this the hottest month of the year, but I think you will find that a little courtesy goes a long way in avoiding all kinds of trouble this summer. As a public service to you and your community I offer this new poster with the hopes that it will spark an inferno of human kindness.

“If love be courtesy refined,
And you be civil in profusion,
That you will to my hopes prove kind,
Is but a natural conclusion.”
– Antonio’s Song, Don Quixote pt I, chapter XI

The poster doesn’t exactly convey a message of courtesy and kindness, but I guess it’s the thought that counts.

It looks like that poster is telling us to be friendly to wayward leatherdaddies in their search for the Bike Stop.

    What is this racist shit?

“Attention blacks! Be courteous to our police or be subject to arrest!”

Is this supposed to be a lesson from Gates’ arrest?
