Echoing reports from Philly, it’s pouring here too. And with a clash of lightning and thunder, everyone with a funky wristband (pictured), and an expensive camera fled for the media tent to cover their equipment with cut-up garbage bags like makeshift condoms (neither of which is safe). As the rain fell, media coverage of the festival screeched to a soggy halt. As we speak Vampire Weekend is taking the stage, but the thunder keeps drowning out the music.
