Philadelphians <3 Ed Rendell (Still!) (???) Also: ) )<------>( (, Back And Forth, Forever
A recent poll proved that while the rest of the state of Pennsylvania blames Ed Rendell for the failure of the state budget and thinks he’s doing a pretty crap job lately, Philadelphians think he’s… doing alright! Whereas his statewide job approval rating is only 39%, down from 54% in May, Philly voters gave him what Mayor Nutter might characterize as a “difficult to look at” 62%. Ah, yes: Philadelphia, The City That, Uh, Lenients You Back. Meanwhile, 33% of Pennsyltuckians say that his handling of the economy is going well (actually, they said something like “We’re fixin’ to diselect ‘im!”), and only 28% approve of his state budget efforts; but Philadelphians sided with him on those issues at 65% and 59%, respectively. So why are we so loyal to Ed when the rest of the state is throwing him under the bus, given the whole ongoing Foxwoods-Sugarhouse-Casino-debacle?

I can’t believe PA still doesn’t have a budget. On NPR this morning they said they are now considering raising sales tax in PA as part of the budget. That would mean 9% in Philly if they also approve our additional 1%.
The same poop back and forth was only good part about that movie.

…may have to do with the fact that Philadelphia get all of Ed’s Love(r) while he shits on the rest of the Commonwealth.
