Noontime Nuggetz: Sunset, “Fishtown”
The Austin, TX band Sunset, whom we were lucky enough to host at 2424 Studios earlier this summer, are also among the first bands to do a Weathervane Music Project. When they arrived at Brian McTear‘s Miner Street Recording to record earlier this year, they were so moved by the studio’s immediate environs — Fishtown — that they penned this ode to the neighborhood. This video debuted about a month ago, but a reader just wrote in asking about it, and it sent us back to it again. Not a bad tune. We’ll be sure to let you know when Sunset’s heading back this way again.

Let’s see, Perez has been promoting bands in the past year and even started his own label. Is there a Philebrity Record Label on the horizon?
