Heather Lynne Zeo, the prismatic recording artist/math teacher who came to our attention as the “Lansdale Mary Kay Letourneau” back in May, appeared in court yesterday for a preliminary hearing. After her two 17-year-old “victims” testified against her, the court ruled that Zeo will face charges of child endangerment, despite the fact that she went the extra mile and provided a condom when having sex with one of her victims in a Target parking lot. She is currently free on $25,000 bail. She spent at least some of her free time on July 10th accessing her MySpace page, where she lists her mood as “amused.” Why could she have been feeling amused last week? Was she overconfident for her impending hearing? Did she revisit the Target parking lot to rekindle old memories? We’re betting that since she claims to be a Monk and Psych fan, Heather Lynne knows the ins and outs of how detectives operate and is carefully plotting her every move. “Amused” may make it look like her mood hasn’t been updated in months, but we bet that keeping it there was a conscious choice, perhaps to confuse and beguile law enforcement and the public, much like her overall Tiffany-circa-1988 aesthetic. And we think it’s working.
