I do not suffer fools gladly. So I just have to add here that people like this man, Vento, among others who do not deserve mention are merely the victims of ideological programming propagated through all sorts of channels and causal links. People who display a sign of the American flag or eagles or whatever representative symbol/image to express ownership or legitimacy in demonstrating what it means to be American have a very superficial grasp and understanding of everything from history, culture to what it really means to be American – namely, an alienated, disconnected, fractured and culturally bastardized individual who seeks some form of meaning, legitimacy and source of belonging in less than 300 years of history and “cultural” heritage. The man needs to accept that he’s shallow, uneducated, and sells cheesesteaks for a living and move on. And if anyone feels offended by these words, I congratulate you on having proved your worthy citizenship.

You can make all the policy arguments you want, all the economic arguments you want, all the legal arguments you want, but once you start calling people “vermin”, you surrender your credibility. If he cared a lick about the community he operates his store in, then he would help fight the tremendous litter problem caused by his customers. You can see orange cups and wrappers for blocks around his establishment, but he says as long as his property is clean, he’s done his job.
