Rob Joey Vento All You Want, So Long As You Can Manage To Avoid His Massive Erection
It does not take a professional psychologist — hell, it doesn’t even take a college freshman — to speculate that the motivating factors behind Joey Vento’s aggressive pro-authoritarian stance (and the aggressively pro-authoritarian cheesesteak experience that comes with it) stem from the fact that he always wanted to be a cop but never could. (Oh, take a wild guess why.) So, in a way, you can thank Fox29 for running this very possibly specious piece on how Vento might have been the target of a big robbery but — surprise! — the cops got tipped off before it happens. It allows the tiny terror to flex his cop muscles in a way he seldom gets to do (outside the gaze of a lonely mirror-filled room amidst a herd of motorcycles):
If they did it and I got that gun out, you’re dead. Let me tell ya something, I will not sit around trying to wound you in the arm. I’m putting you away.
Sure ya will, buddy. Go ahead, make his day.

I don’t much like the guy or his politics either, but I will say, I see Vento at like 6:30am when I go to work, in his shop cutting buns and making stuff. It kind of impresses me. He does put in his time.

Don’t forget to say “buenos días” on your way bay!

@towncrier ya know, i have to be at my job at 5am, and i manage to do it without being a racist prick. so what if he puts in his time? we all do.

My problem with Vento is he goes out of his way to be a dick. Is it even possible to say “wiz wit” in Spanish?

Why is it racist to demand people speak to you in the language of the country they live? There is no where else on this Earth that tolerates illegal immigrants overrunning a country so why should we?
Boxcars & busses, back they go. Oh, since Obama has questionable citizenship, he should be tossed in the boxcar first.

@jburnside…”boxcars”? Really? Boxcars? Tell me you don’t know what that implies and I’ll call you a fucking moron. And questionable citizenship? Your aluminum foil hat must’ve fallen off.

Boxcars have gotten a bad rap thanks to one unfortunate incident. With proper ventilation and a fast enough train, thousands of illegals could be relocated back to the land of Pesos and dysentery in a matter of days.

So, when you posted this, who at Philebrity HQ had “JBurnside, 5th comment, supportive of Vento” in the pool?

If he cared a lick about the community he operates his store in, then he would help fight the tremendous litter problem caused by his customers. You can see orange cups and wrappers for blocks around his establishment, but he says as long as his property is clean, he’s done his job.
PS. There is no official language of the US dumbass
June 25th, 2009 at 3:03 pm
That’s not litter, it’s advertising
Oh and the only reason English isn’t the official language is Congress doesn’t have the balls to stand up to the infestation of vermin over running this country.
June 25th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
@jburns your definition of “overrunning” seems a bit extreme
June 25th, 2009 at 4:04 pm
Of course, with the use of “vermin”, jburnside shows his true colors. You can make all the policy arguments you want, all the economic arguments you want, all the legal arguments you want, but once you start calling people “vermin”, you surrender your credibility. Good job, jburnside. You have exposed yourself as a rascist xenophobe. I understand, of course, that you might welcome that tag as a badge of honor.

I do not suffer fools gladly. So I just have to add here that people like this man, Vento, among others who do not deserve mention are merely the victims of ideological programming propagated through all sorts of channels and causal links. People who display a sign of the American flag or eagles or whatever representative symbol/image to express ownership or legitimacy in demonstrating what it means to be American have a very superficial grasp and understanding of everything from history, culture to what it really means to be American – namely, an alienated, disconnected, fractured and culturally bastardized individual who seeks some form of meaning, legitimacy and source of belonging in less than 300 years of history and “cultural” heritage. The man needs to accept that he’s shallow, uneducated, and sells cheesesteaks for a living and move on. And if anyone feels offended by these words, I congratulate you on having proved your worthy citizenship.
