Is/Was There Some Kind Of Tampa-Philly Plot To Smuggle Weapons Onto Planes?
Remember earlier this month, when someone tried to bring a 9mm pistol onto a flight to Phoenix from Philadelphia International Airport? Turns out, that might have not been simply the world’s dumbest person. Former City Paper editor Howard Altman — now based in Tampa, FL — reports that the FBI is now investigating to see whether there’s a connection between that arrest and a similar one made in Tampa on the same day. Terrorist plot? World’s dumbest small-time gun-smuggling ring? Or just two idiots on the same wavelength? Either way, they were thwarted, so you can fly U.S. Scare relaxed in the knowledge that, yes, they do look for this sort of thing now.

Recall that the Philly incident was observed and reported to TSA by civilians rather than any security personnel.
That occured just a couple weeks after that Bucks county lady purchased tickets in cash and with a false (real but not her) ID.
At least they found the 9mm yesterday where the guy claims he thought it was his tatoo equipment.

shit man, i fly to tampa tommorrow. i got arrested once for weapons possession, i hope im not flagged at the gate, even though i beat the case…ballllllz
