Mark your social calendars, local wonks and followers of the (so far) bloodless war that has been the race for District Attorney in Philadelphia. Congressman Robert A. Brady, Chair of the Philadelphia Democratic City Committee, has just announced that tomorrow at The Palm, he will gather all of the losing Democratic D.A. candidates — including Dan McCaffery, who unsuccessfully tried to boot eventual winning Democratic candidate Seth Williams from the bill — for a luncheon in Williams’ honor with a warm and fuzzy let’s-all-support-Williams-now-that-even-our-most-underhanded-tactics-couldn’t-knock-him-down kind of vibe. “”After a hard-fought campaign in the Spring,” said Brady, “the job of a party chair is to make sure that all Democrats work together in the Fall.” Besides, we figured, it’s good to have all these guys in one place, where somebody can keep an eye on ‘em.
