The Philadelphia Union’s Informative and Intimidating Brand Narrative: You Got A Problem With That?

Yesterday, to the delight of Philly stoners and sport sophisticates alike, Philadelphia’s own soccer league, the Philadelphia Union, revealed their name, their website, and their endlessly bad-ass/ridiculous Brand Narrative. It’s a history lesson in a compact unity-circle of a logo — every bit of it explained in the most don’t-even-try-to-mess-with-this-you-pussy tone possible. Even the reason behind the “Philadelphia” isn’t left unsaid. It’s the motherfucking anchor of our region in case you didn’t know, pussy. Join or die.

This is so awesome I can almost forgive the stadium being located in Chester. Almost. But not quite.

You got to admit, even if you didn’t like the logo or the name, this explains everything. Although the stadium is in Chester, it’s part of our Phila region :).
