Phashionista: Barney’s Co-Op Opens Today On Rittenhouse

The good people at DesignPhiladelphia have a Flickr set up of some of the first pictures to emerge of Barney’s Co-Op, the Philly outpost of the new “style lab” stores from Barney’s of New York. And it looks… expensive. But also, incredibly cool. Damn you, Great Depression 2.0, damn you in your stupid face.

“Damn you, Great Depression 2.0, damn you in your stupid face.”
Amen to that.

Looks kind of low-end and juvenile for Barney’s, which is a bit insulting to Philadelphians, I think.

Whimsy, it is a Barney’s Co-Op so its a tad different from an “original” Barney’s. I do agree the interior is lacking but remember it is a new structure and not an existing one.

yeah, band of outsiders, filson, surface to air, apc and steven alan. low-end indeed. at least kids shopping at urban can walk a few blocks over and see what their favorite retailer will be biting on in a few months.
