When the Phillies take the field against the Braves on Sunday night at 8:05PM at Citizens Bank Park for the 2009 Home Opener, a few things will be certain: A) The day and time of game will have provided a very robust window for tailgating, thereby setting the stage for a daylong drinking and fighting scenario the city hasn’t seen since the last time the Phils played at CBP and B) everyone, ticketholders or no, is gonna be donning fresh new Phils gear. Which is exactly why you should get over to the Birdland/Fightins page and scoop up some of this savvy Phils schwag. Our fave is the Utz/Utley mashup at right, but there’s plenty of others, including some good variations on the WFC theme. Collect one, collect ‘em all: The whole project is a collab between Outlaw Print Co. and Phillies blog The Fightins, and we’re guessing that they’ll all be limited-run designs. And they sure as hell beat whatever they’ll be selling on an inside-out Miley Cyrus tee shirt in the parking lot.
