And Now, In The Ultimate Game Of “I Don’t Trust Either Of You Motherfuckers,” We Present Jeff Lurie And… John Street!
So, what’s the deal? Is John Street back in our lives now, or what? Hold that thought. For Street, the deal is that there is no deal. Isn’t that right, John?
We didn’t cut a secret deal. There was no deal. We didn’t make a deal.
The deal that Street is talking about — which, if you didn’t get that, Street says DOES NOT EXIST — is the one that he did or didn’t cut with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, regarding millions of dollars of skybox revenues from ye olde Veterans’ Stadium. And yes, that would be that missing $8M we first learned about during the library crisis. Lurie says he and Street had a verbal agreement that the Iggles would pay $1M and be done with it; Street says, well, you know what Street says.

Total BS on Lurie’s part. Without getting into the glaringly obvious fact that if there is nothing in writing then there is no deal, if Lurie was given such an amazing 87% discount on his debt why didn’t he fucking race to his check book to get that shit over with? Pay Eagles Pay, On The Road To Victory.

Lurie should just pay. He is literaly a billionaire and he looks more and more terrible as this goes on. Didn’t the city pay for most of the stadium anyway.
I’d say people should organize a boycott of the Eagles if I thought that there was any possible chance of that actually happening in this city.

I don’t think you’d even have to boycott the Eagles in their entirety. All you’d have to do to send a message is have a boycott on jerseys, hats and paraphernalia. I think that alone would put enough of pinch on them to think about coughing up. I think people would forgo a new cap a lot more easily than watching or attending a game.

Show up at the Linc in a Dawkins broncos jersey. That would send a message.
@tips: where’s the old Street shrugging picture? Retired? That sort of represented 8 years in a convenient nutshell.
