Some Days, We Love Temple Kids So Much We Just Wanna Squeeze ‘Em
Go west, TU journalism student! And by that, we mean, these kids give us hope. Lots.

Inclined to agree. She gives me hope, too, but, ummmm….
is Philebrity going to comment on the myriad complex issues that come to mind while watching that clip? A take-my-career-by-the-balls journo student. A cop disgraced, his career likely ruined by a college newspaper reporter who seems a tad high.
Everyone knows there are many cops who are thugs with guns, smearing the rest. Everyone knows they come from their neighborhoods, and act and believe accordingly.
I tell ya, I’m the last to defend cops, who break arms and wrists while handcuffing people because they know they can. The helicopter video from a few years back? Brilliant (in the result, anyway), but way beyond the daily mistreatment doled out on citizens.
Yet: This little dirty girl will be cleaned up and on the air within a week of graduation, if not sooner, as a “reporter.” Against all my gut feelings, I can’t help but admire her, and can’t help but pity the poor cop who thought he was going to score a nice piece of Temple ass. Telling, isn’t it, that the immediate reaction from the cop’s family was not that the conversation was off-the-record. But then how would they know about “off-the-record,” in concept, let alone that it is something to be employed? Does she know? Was she asked by the TV reporter if it was on- or off-the-record? Of course she was not. For God’s sake. This is TV local news. The guy’s fucking career is ruined by a dizzy co-ed with ill-advised bangs that the Fox camera loves to capture sashaying to her seat. Man it must suck to be him, even if he as racist as she claims.
Whether he is or not, he has been labeled a racist cop, and our Chief of Police deemed it worthy of commenting. That must be why the top cop weighed in, right? Thank goodness all cop cars have instant recording devices. I’m sure the Inquirer and Daily News cops reporters are already on this.
Oh wait…
Right. We’ll never know. We will never know. Somebody prove me wrong, please.

In order to prove you wrong you would have had to make a coherent point. Work on that and get back to us.

Hovering, your comments reek of sexual jealousy and confused ideals.

This student writes for more than just Temple. She’s worked with the Tourism office on other stories — she just had a good article about Philly in the Wilmington News Journal.
