In case you missed their packed-out Philly debut back in January, Philebrity is frickin’ STOKED to let you know that Brazil’s one and only Garotas Suecas will be back in Philly on Friday night at Kung Fu Necktie. For those of you who love (as we do) the music of Os Mutantes, Gilberto Gil, and so on — as well as raw 1960s garage/freakbeat type sounds — you will be pleased to know that Garotas are indeed the genuine article, carrying on the traditions of Tropicalia but also wigging out like teenagers high on boogaloo. And Friday night’s show is going to be an insane party: In addition to openers Prowler (of Philly) and Cassim & Barbária (also hailing from Brazil), KFN’s regular Friday night party, the excellent Robotique will immediately follow, with special guest DJs Gregg Foreman (Turnaround Vs.
