Redlasso Resurfaces With Fox Deal

redlassoSome of you may have wondered what ever happened to Redlasso, that awesome online video service that we (and loads of other blogs) were using a year or so ago. Redlasso, based in King Of Prussia, operated as a kind of streaming feed of all the major TV networks — right up until said networks banded together to sue the pants off of it. When we talked with them last year, Redlasso brass maintained that this was a fairly expected outcome, and that they’d be trying to hammer out deals to work in tandem with the networks. Well, they’ve started to make good on that: Starting next month, Redlasso will be back online, carrying feeds from Fox affiliates all over the country — and we’re not sure what else. If other networks follow suit, Redlasso could wind up being a national local-TV news online affiliate service, which would be entertaining in that we could all A/B local news to see which city has the very most insultingly moronic local news broadcasts. Here’s hoping.
