For a little while now, we’ve heard people half-jokingly mention here and there that one sure way to get at least a little piece of the economy moving again would be to finally, sensibly, legalize marijuana. And hot on the heels of the New Jersey senate’s push to legalize medical marijuana, PA State Rep. Mark Cohen (pictured) is saying that he’d like to introduce a similar bill as soon as possible. Now, just because Cohen wants to doesn’t mean it’ll get anywhere close to passing — remember that this is Pennsylvania, and a large part of Pennsylvania is taken up by Pennsyltucky. However, from our experience, people down on the farm don’t mind a little grass now and then, either. Plus, Cohen says that people he talked with his followers on Facebook and even started a thread on Phillyblog about it and the consensus is looking good. Clearly, the people have spoken. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one. The one that needs glaucoma medicine, as it happens.
