When we first introduced you to Arthur Kade, The First Person To Ever Follow His Dreams Ever, last Friday, we had a feeling this cat was going places. Possibly weird places where it’s hard to tell who’s laughing at you or what you’re doing there in the first place; places where you wonder if you yourself even realize why you are slowly but surely accruing a kind of Internet celebrity that is the digital age’s gift to fans of reality television. And we were right: Yesterday, Gawker took notice of Arthur, thereby answering our prayer from last week that NYC might claim Rittenhouse’s Finest Male Model (Retired Financial Services Division). But that is not the only Arthur Kade update we have: He’s auditioning for QVC!!! He’s making his audition tape this weekend, and we’ve got a cool fiver on the desk saying that shit will go up on YouTube within moments of its completion. And, if we may interject here with some real talk, if Arthur Kade wouldn’t be a great QVC host, who, then — who, we ask you — would? But’s it’s not all sunshine and lollipops for Mr. Kade these days. As Philadelphia’s Favorite Oversharer will tell you himself, he’s having a bit of a dry spell:

What’s even stranger is that for the most part, the reason that I haven’t been with anyone is that I find myself turning down the easiest of sex. I have slept in bed with girls, hooked up with them at various levels, and had my chances, but yet closing the deal has not been a reality. There have been several occasions that I have had girls pretty much say “let’s go home”, and I have found myself finding something wrong, something that I am not attracted to, or just not being in the mood. [...] I am constantly in the hottest clubs or venues (Set, Louis, LIV, 1Oak, G Lounge..etc..) in whatever city I’m in, and yet I am not making it happen.

First of all, this may be the first time we’ve had the pleasure of hearing G Lounge praised in just this way by someone not on the Philadelphia Style payroll, and second of all, Arthur, we must ask this in a way that is free of derision or judgement or shittiness: Are you sure you like women? Or is it that you’re just an old-fashioned guy who hasn’t found the right girl yet? If it’s the latter, don’t worry: Someday, when your true love comes along, you’ll smile back on this time, wondering how it was that you ever slept in bed with girls or hooked up with them on various levels, constantly, always, in the hottest clubs or venues.
