We ran the old KYW “Direct Connetion” advert from the 1980s about three years ago in its original form, which has since been removed from YouTube. But somewhere along the line, a guy named Jimmy Michaels got his hands on the track — and before you ask, yes, this really was a piece of music commissioned by KYW — and remixed it. Originally recorded by Klein & Klein, it is a window on a strange, strange time in the news business.
