Philly’s 7th Annual Backseat Film Festival Returns, Beer And Boobies In Tow

bff_09_logoStarting this Friday, March 6, and continuing through the 15th, Philadelphia’s 7th annual rock-n-rolling, beer-drinking, stuff-smashing, and boob-loving Backseat Film Festival is back in action! The BFF will be screening 14 features, all of which are philly premieres, and over 50 shorts and music videos from all over the world.  Main screenings will taking place at the 941 Theater on the weekends, and other screenings and special events will be taking place during the week at locations like the The Trocadero and N. 3rd Lounge. And because this is the rock-n-rollest film festival this side of the David Lee Roth soundboard, all screenings will be supplemented with free booze and free tits*. Tickets are $8 per screening block, $20 for three, and $50 for a festival pass. We’d suggest going for the festival pass, mostly because of all the free booze.

A few highlights of the fest include Academy Award Nominee Bill Plympton‘s newest animated feature, Idiots and Angels, which will be screening Saturday, March 7; Minghags, directed by everyone’s favorite skater/whatever, Bam Margera, who will be presenting the film along with the whole CKY crew on Sunday, March 8; and, on Saturday, March 14, a screening of Homo Erectus, the latest film from Detroit Rock City director Adam Rifkin, followed by a Q&A session with Rifkin himself. But the festival comprises many more cool and oft-gory screenings and parties — check out the schedule here. And check out our interview with BFF’s Doug Sakmann here. And check out the festival this weekend

*Only in the sense that, on a given day, you don’t normally have to pay for the existence of tits.

that david lee roth soundboard is the greatest thing ever.
out of context, that’s some of the worst stuff you could ever subject your ears to. no wonder when he first audition for VH back in the day they passed…reason being, “he can’t sing”.
but, he could do all this….
